National Park Una, pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Una National Park was established in 2008 around the Upper Una River and the Unac River. It is Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most recently established national park. The main purpose of the park is to protect the unspoiled Una and Unac rivers which run through it.

Una National Park is one of the most breathtaking natural and cultural treasures of Bosnia and Herzegovina, covering a vast area along the Una and Unac rivers. The park’s protected zone stretches along the western side from the Krka creek, following its course until it merges with the Una River near the state border with Croatia. From this point, the park boundary continues alongside the Una and follows the Bosnia-Croatia border until it reaches Martin Brod, where the Una meets the Unac River.

On the eastern side, the park’s boundary begins where the Unac River enters its dramatic canyon, located a few kilometers downstream from Drvar. The park extends along the Unac River, following its winding canyon course all the way to Martin Brod, where it ultimately meets the Una.
