One of the most beautiful lakes in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina is Å atorsko lake.

Å ator is a mountain in western Bosnia and Herzegovina, which separates the Livno field from GlamoÄko field. The most important object of natural beauty on this mountain, is the Å atorsko Lake. This is a glacial lake, located at an altitude of 1488 m.
The lake is surrounded on the north, east and south with slopes and peaks of the Great and Small Å ator and Babina Greda. These impressive cliffs are rising from the lake with a vertical drop of over 400 meters. Another true beauty are the so called Devil’s Gardens at Babina Greda. All these slopes are covered with dwarf pine, and on northern are you can find a very rare and protected species Edelweiss (Leontopodinum alpinum).
The summer temperature is 17 °C while the source on the shore, which feeds it, is 6 °C. A few hundred metres to the north is the Bulino Vrelo spring, which is believed by the local population to have healing powers.
At the bottom of the lake there are plants potamogeton and because of them the transparency of water is up to 4 meters, almost to the bottom, except in the deepest parts. Water color is green because of the grass and plants. Frogs and aquatic lizards live here.
The Mlinski potok (brook) rises from the Å atorsko lake and later on streams into Å atorki brook so that Una river is created. There is access to the lake from the road Grahovo – Livno from the area of Gornje Peulje.
The landscape is great for hiking and biking and the lake can be easily reached by car.
